Phoenix Rising + New Beginnings = Rebirth

The theme for No Boundaries 2005-2006 was inspired by the past, present, and future of VSA arts of Washington.

On Sunday, March 20, 2005 at 1am in the morning, a fire initiated by a faulty electrical cord swept through our exhibits program staging and storage space known as the Blue Spruce. All of the artwork that had been collected between exhibits or prior to being shown was destroyed. This tragic event created a clearer vision of rebirth and new beginnings for our organization.

In January 2006, VSA arts of Washington opened the door to the Vision Gallery located at 312 South Washington Street in Pioneer Square. This exciting opportunity has furthered VSAAW's mission to provide art opportunities for people with disabilities.

Since its emergence in 1991, No Boundaries has grown to represent professional, emerging, and Outsider artists in an annual traveling show across Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington. Our artists are gaining an ever-growing audience. As an organization representing artists on the cutting edge of artistic contribution and social change, we are pleased that each year our tour includes a combination of professional galleries and educational facilities.
