No Boundaries 2007-2009: REVELATIONS

This showcase features works from 29 regional artists.

Application Guidelines:

Eligibility: Open to artists with disabilities who reside in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington.  All works must be for sale.  All works must be original,  produced within the last three years and completed since acquiring a disability.  Open to artists age 18 and up.
Media: Media eligible for considerations include but are not limited to: Painting, Sculpture, Drawing, Printmaking, Photography and Mixed Media.  Call for  media considerations.

Jury by Slide OR Digital Image: Artists may submit four works of art, represented by a maximum of four 35mm  slides or four digital images.  For either type of entry, include a description sheet numbering each entered work. List the Artist’s Name, Date of Work, Media, and Dimensions (H x W x D).
Slides: Label slide with Artist’s Name, # of Piece, and Arrow for slide orientation. Slides of works not selected will be returned if a Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope (SASE) is included.
Digital Images:  Send jpeg files at 150 dpi to shannona@vsaaw.org
Size Limitations:  Two-dimensional:  40” x 40” (including frame)
 Three-dimensional:  25” x 25” x 25”

Shipping: Artists are responsible for transportation of accepted works to and from VSAAW.  Work may be delivered to and picked up from the VSAAW office during regular office hours (10 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday).
Awards/Publicity: Four cash awards, including cover art award, will be given in recognition of outstanding entries.  Each accepted artist will be shown on the ‘Featured Artists’ page of our web site at www.vsaaw.org for the 2007-2009 season.
Accepted Works:  All work must be ready for installation upon arrival.  Wall mounted pieces must have adequate hangers and/or wire.  Two-dimensional works must be framed with plexiglass (no glass accepted.)  Three-dimensional work needs adequate instructions for installation if it requires more than a standard pedestal.
Sales:  Artist receives 50% of sale price of work (recommended minimum sale price $200).
Liability:  VSAAW and hosting venues are not responsible for loss or damage to the artworks during transport, display or storage.  VSAAW and hosting venues will take all normal precautions to assure the safety of each art piece during display, transportation, and storage for the duration of the No Boundaries 2007-2009 tour.

Artist Statement:
 The Artist’s view of their artwork, influences, and inspiration.

Biography:  Up to 400 words about the artist’s life, possibly including information about education, family, and disability.
