Volunteer with the Vision Gallery or with VSAAW's Administrative Office!

Our volunteers keep us in business! If you love art, education, and pitching in to help out a great cause, send us an email! Opportunities include:

  • Special events
  • First Thursday Art Walk
  • Classes for disabled artists
  • Working with youths to create art
  • Working in a gallery environment

Interns:
We also offer for-credit internships to upper-level undergraduates and graduate students in related programs. These can last a quarter or a year depending on what works for you and your program. Minimum of 3 credits/9 hours per quarter. Currently we are hiring a Gallery and Exhibit Assistant for fall quarter, 2007.

The Gallery and Exhibit Assistant will perform the following functions:

  • assist with artist recruitment and contact
  • work independently, with little supervision
  • exhibit design
  • mat, frame, perform conservation on art, as needed
  • assist with event planning
  • manage volunteers
  • assist with public programming (future art classes)
  • sell artwork and merchandise (retail experience a plus)
  • participate in monthly First Thursday openings
  • brainstorm new ways to market the space to diverse audiences
  • be available 2 Saturdays per month

If you are interested in volunteering or an internship with VSAAW please email Erin Weible at gallery@vsaaw.org!
